Importing data from QAntrol is a very useful tool when utilising Past Project's ITPs etc.

Data Type / Format

 

Format Selection

QAntrol can import data from two different formats:

 

•Comma Separated Values, Tab Delimited, or User Defined (CSV)
This is a basic format and only includes the main information of the selected data type.
 

•QAntrol Data Structure
This will import all of the information contained within the selected data type.
EG. ITPs will be imported with all Tests, Required Results etc.

 

Data Type Selection

Simply select the data type you wish to import (eg. Inspection and Test Plans)

 

File Details

Select the file you wish to import from either by typing it in manually or using the Browse Button '...'

 

Once you have selected the data file click on Get Data button to retrieve the data from the file for display and inspection.

 

If you are importing from a CSV then you will have to also map the columns in the CSV File to QAntrol columns.

If you have used the Template to import data then you can simply click on the Auto button and this process is handled for you.

Otherwise you have to select a CSV Column and then the corresponding QAntrol column and click Map .Do this until they are all mapped.

 

Click on Import Data to finally import the data into QAntrol.
