Test and Survey Types

Test and Survey Types are located in the PROJECT area under the “Inspection and Test Plan” sub-menu. Test and Survey Types are entered into QAntrol either manually or can be uploaded from an excel spreadsheet.
Test and Survey Types can be:
•Linked to Inspection and Test Plans to specify the type, frequency and pass result required for individual activities on an Inspection and Test Plan.
•Linked to testing Suppliers that provide testing services to enable Test Requests to be generated and tracked.
•Testing criteria for each Test Type can be specified and the ensuing test results trended using the QAntrol Testing Dashboard.

Test Criteria |
Provides the reported test criteria on which the test pass results are to be determined. Reported test results by criteria may be trended on the QAntrol Testing Dashboard, careful consideration should be given to the setup of test criteria. |

Adding and Editing Test and Survey Types
•Select Add or Edit from the register control buttons located on the bottom right hand side of the screen;
•The “Test and Survey Type Details” editor will appear. All fields in this editor are mandatory.
•Enter the Test Code, Description and Group by text entry in each field.
•To Add or Edit criteria in the “Test and Survey Type” select the Add or Edit button, the “Test Criteria Details” editor will appear.
•Enter the Test Criteria, select the Unit of measurement and press “OK”. The entered Criteria will display in the Test Types Methods area.
Multiple Criteria can be specified on a Test or Survey Type.
The “Order” column in the grid allows the order of test criteria as displayed in the Test and Survey Type Grid to be specified.
•Press “OK” to save the Test or Survey Type into the Test and Survey Type Register.
Deleting a Test and Survey Type
•In the “Test and Survey Type” register select the Test or Survey Type to be deleted by pointing and clicking using the mouse. The selected Test or Survey Type will be highlighted in blue.
•Select “Delete” from the register control buttons located on the bottom right hand side of the screen
•The “Delete Test Type” Confirmation Popup is displayed confirming the name of the Test Type to be deleted
•Select “Yes” to delete the Test Type
•Select “No” to cancel delete.
•Test Types are used widely in other Registers, QAntrol will not allow a Test Type to be deleted where it is linked or referenced to other records in the database. “A QAntrol Error…” will be encountered when attempting to delete a Test or Survey Type linked to other records, where these Error Statements are displayed then the Test or Survey Type will not be deleted.
