Some entry fields in QAntrol are deemed “mandatory entry field” and these are identified by a red circle with an explanation mark located next to the entry field.  Failure to fill out mandatory fields will prevent the record from saving in the database.  Fields not marked as mandatory maybe left blank (e.g.  In the Package Manager the Code and Description fields are mandatory and until an entry is made in each field the “OK” button on the editor will remain ineffective).  QAntrol will provide a description of the information required for a mandatory field by placing the mouse icon over the red circle.
