The Material Categories Listing can be found in the Project Menu » Suppliers » Material Categories.
Grid Display
The Material Categories grid displays the following columns:

The “Category Code” column displays an alpha short form (generally no more than 4 digit) identifier code used to identify the Supplier Category |
Description |
The “Category” column displays the description defining the Category. A Category is a group of like Supply items |
Material Category Editor
The Add and Edit buttons will add a new Material Category and edit the selected Material Category respectively.
The following is an explanation of the fields found on the Material Category Editor.

Deleting an existing Material Category
Click the Delete button to delete the selected Material Category.
Material Categories could be linked to other records, QAntrol will not allow a Material Category to be deleted where it is linked or referenced to other records in the database. “A QAntrol Error…” will be encountered when attempting to delete a Material Category linked to any records, where these Error Statements are displayed then the Material Category will not be deleted.
