Adding / Editing Survey Requests

Open the Survey Request Editor (either click Add or Edit on the Survey Register screen)

 

The Survey Request Editor has four tabs: Survey Request Details, ITP Information, Surveys, Documents.

 

Survey Request Details

The Survey Request Details tab has four main sections: Lot Information, Survey Supplier Details, Key Dates and Responsibility

 

Lot Information Entry

These fields are completed at the time the Survey Request is created

The Survey Request Number is automatically generated and cannot be manually changed.

Survey Request Number


This is the Survey Request Number that is automatically generated by QAntrol. This is a sequential number that is validated at the server at the time of saving the record. Because of this the number that is first shown in the Editor when adding a new Survey Request may be changed at the time of saving the record. This should not present a problem as you cannot print or email the Survey Request until it is saved.

Use Multiple Lots


If this is ticked then the Survey Request relates to more than one Lot and the user is given the option to select multiple lots from a list.

When ticked the Lot Information fields are replaced by a grid showing the lots selected, and two buttons 'Add' and 'Remove' are shown to add and remove selected lots.

Survey Supplier Details Entry

These fields are completed at the time the Survey Request is created.

Responsibility Entry

These fields are completed at the time the Survey Request is created.

ITP Information

When a Lot is selected a Grid appears in the ITP Information tab showing the ITP of the Lot. The ITP Items shown are filtered to only include those with Survey information on them and the rows of such Surveys are coloured Yellow to make them stand out and easier to read.

 

 

 


 

Surveys

The Surveys tab shows the list of Surveys being requested.

Once Surveys are added to the list you can modify various values directly in the Grid (eg. Quantity of surveys, Cost Code, Comments etc.)

The functions available here (buttons along the bottom of this tab) are:

 

Add

The Add Survey function will allow you to add one or more of the Survey types listed under the selected Supplier.

Clicking Add will bring up a list of Surveys to choose from and you can select one or more by using CTRL or SHIFT keys.

The Surveys are defined as Associated work under the Supplier. Please refer to Supplier Associated Work Editor.

 

Remove

The Remove function will allow you to remove the selected Survey from the Survey Request.

Select the Survey you want to remove then click the Remove button.

 

Populate

The populate function will attempt to automatically populate the Survey Request with the Surveys required.

QAntrol does this based on the following:

ITP Code of the Lot selected - QAntrol will obtain the Survey Requirements from the ITP.

Selected Supplier's available Surveys - Associated Work (please refer to Supplier Associated Work Editor)

 

Override Rate

If one or more of the Surveys in the Survey Request have had their Rates changed then you can select one of those Surveys and click Override Rate to change which Rate is being applied to this Survey Request.

 


 

Documents

You can link documents to the Survey Request record in the same fashion as all QAntrol Records.
